Initial Thoughts Behind FIF

Food is meant to bring people together. And I don't just mean literally. After a few years of personal experience and research in the kitchen, I've come to fully realize my own limitations and to humbly acknowledge that there is much I do not know and much I can learn. To have ever thought that I had mastered a dish or that a certain rendition was objectively better than another was a complete and utter folly, save for the most indubitable circumstances.

So what can we do about this ever-lacking state? We first look around and see that we are not alone in our endeavors. We are joined by a fellowship of food by those who pursue the art of serving those we cook for. For what greater purpose can we derive from the culinary world than to show our affection and appreciation to our loved ones and ultimately, to our God?

That's where this blog comes in. As iron sharpens iron, let us sharpen one another in this service. Let us enjoy teaching one another and engage together in our passions. Food is not meant to be elitist, it's meant to be shared. Let's have fun while doing that. :)
